The start up program gives our aspiring youth entrepreneurs thefundamentals of starting a business. It exposes them to opportunities that can help identify what business they want to start.
What To Expect
The business startup program will educate the youth on:
- Creating a name and logo
- Developing a mission and vision statement
- Short-term vs. long-term business
- Business costs
- Business structure
- Developing policies
- Bookkeeping
- Writing a business plan
- Benefits of a franchise
- Digital business vs. physical location

Applied Knowledge is Key
Our youth have the opportunity to apply their knowledge by getting assistance with starting a T-shirt business, Microgreens Farming business, or learning carpentry.
The STARTING POINT for all students wll be to enroll the Business Startup Program
They will choose their business path below after enrollment
Tshirt Business ($100)
The T-Shirt program will :
- Provide shirts to get started
- Give access to a 3d Printer
- Provide direction on developing shirt designs
Microgreens Farming ($100)
The Microgreens Farming program will :
- Teach the business of microgreens farming
- Provide materials to begin the farming process
- Share the health benefits of micro greens
Carpentry | Trade Skills ($250)
The Carpentry program will :
- Provide the Ryobi Kit
- Teach Carpentry Safety Precautions
- Develop their handyman skills
- Give the youth experience in using tools properly
